It is time to take your Spring senior portraits!

Here are some tips for taking great senior pictures:

  1. Plan ahead and choose the right time of day: The lighting can make a big difference in the quality of your photos, so be sure to plan your photo shoot for a time of day when the lighting is most flattering. This might be early in the morning or late in the afternoon when the sun is low in the sky, we call this last hour of the day “golden hour”. It is definitely when you want to shoot your pictures!

  2. Choose the right location: The location of your photo shoot can also have a big impact on the overall look and feel of your photos. Consider choosing a location that is meaningful to you, such as your favorite park or a spot with a beautiful view. We have lots of suggestions if you don’t have a location in mind.

  3. Dress for the occasion: Be sure to choose clothing and accessories that reflect your personal style and make you feel confident. Avoid wearing clothes with busy patterns or logos, as these can be distracting in photos. Solid colors tend to work the best.

  4. Work with me, your photographer: Be open and honest with me about what you want from your senior photos. Show me some examples of the types of photos you like, and be willing to listen to suggestions and feedback.

  5. Relax and have fun: Above all, remember to have fun and enjoy the experience. Your senior photos should capture who you are at this moment in time, so be yourself and let your personality shine through in the photos.
